Founded in 2002, Aximetrix's mission is to create cutting-edge environmental mechatronic solutions to support SMEs and micro-enterprises in their transition towards a viable, sustainable, and diverse circular economy, in harmony with the environment.
All our projects are built on STRIX, our unique platform at Aximetrix, which is scalable, open, free of technical debt, and eco-friendly. This allows us to reuse over 80% of technologies developed.
We work in various application fields, including environmental, manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, mining, as well as education, research, and the arts.

1992-1997
Specialized Welding Mont-Laurier: A business with his father, specializing in design and manufacturing: syrup evaporators, railings, and staircases, as well as wrought metals. Also offers various repairs: boats, engines, and frames.
1998-2002
Martin, representative and automation technician – Multiple robotics projects and sales of pneumatic, ergonomic, and industrial tools, as well as large-scale project sales.
2002
First-place winner, Technological and Technical Innovation category: Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest of the CLD of Laval (award for his business plan).
2002
First premises in Laval. Following demand from multiple clients, Martin starts his SME and quickly establishes a diverse and loyal customer base across various application fields.
2003
250-Ton Hydraulic Press: AXIPRESS. For hydraulic or servo-electric press projects. Powerful AC4 motion controller – 2 axes – user interface and position reading.
2004
Collaboration between Mike Black and Martin Maillé: Friends since high school, Mike, now a Systems Architect, has contributed to numerous projects and inventions focused on SME automation. Even today, their major team advancements revolve around innovation and mechatronic development with an environmental philosophy.
2008
Electric Car in the Netherlands. The company Friend EV sought Aximetrix's expertise to connect the electric motor of the Suzuki Swift prototype.
2013
The Company Becomes a Family Business: The company's structure strengthens, enabling new technological advancements. Major companies in the mining and recreational products industries choose Aximetrix!
2014
Relocation to the Laurentians: Taking advantage of larger premises and seeking a closer connection with nature, Aximetrix draws inspiration and diversifies its developments into the agricultural, beekeeping, and poultry industries.
2014-2017
Exploratory Trip to Central America: Taking advantage of the recession in Quebec, Martin and his partner Lisette embarked on a journey aboard their sailboat from Montreal to Guatemala, discovering new ways of seeing, inventing differently, and tackling challenges. Observing climate changes and engaging in scientific exchanges at various levels, the sailors returned to Quebec with a creative mindset and a broad perspective.
2020
COVID Strikes – Aximetrix in “Rapid Mode”: Finally, a moment to restructure, transition to new open-source and innovative software. A significant period of learning and a fresh start for the team. New talents join, united by shared values, bringing energy and pride to what Aximetrix is becoming. Our loyal clients contribute to our success despite this challenging time.
